ShareHerStory is more than a podcast — it’s a movement to celebrate and amplify women’s voices in Switzerland. Born from the belief that every story matters, this platform creates space for women to share their journeys of courage, resilience, and inspiration. Through authentic conversations, community projects, and events, we connect voices that might otherwise go unheard and remind one another that even small stories can spark big change. Our mission is simple yet powerful: Real Stories. Real Journeys. Together, we build bridges, inspire hope, and create a living archive of women shaping tomorrow.
Success has many faces. Society often defines it by titles, careers, or money—but I believe every woman’s journey holds its own unique strength and wisdom. For me, success is also the quiet strength of a woman who navigates a new country as a trailing spouse, the resilience of someone who changes careers, the wisdom of a mother, the courage of a woman rebuilding after loss, or the determination of a woman starting her own business from scratch. Every path matters. Every story deserves to be heard.
And that’s what I want to spotlight through this podcast: Who are you without your title? Beneath every role, within every woman, lies a unique voice, a journey, a strength that deserves to shine.
My own journey has been anything but a straight line, it’s been full of curvy roads. But I believe it’s the curvy roads that give us the most breathtaking views when we look back from the top.
I was born in a small town in India, where life began with very humble means. After my father left us, we lived in a hut and often survived on just onions, potatoes, and rice. At the age of 9, I moved into a children’s home, where I grew up with 350 other girls under the care of nuns.
As a little girl, I often cried into my pillow at night, asking God why I didn’t get to live in a “normal” family. One of the nuns who cared for us would sit with us in the evenings and tell us stories, – about women she had raised before us who went on to do well in life, or about her own struggles and hopes. Those stories kept me going day after day. They gave me faith that if we put effort into our education, our values, and our dreams, there could be a brighter future ahead.
As a teenager, I worked different jobs to support my education : selling encyclopedias in industrial areas at 16, working as a receptionist in a doctor’s clinic at 17, and spending nights in Mumbai call centers while attending college in the mornings. I often walked kilometers instead of taking a rickshaw, just to save money for food or tuition.
Life later took me across continents, India, Poland, and finally Switzerland—asking me to start over again and again. Today, I am happily married to a Swiss gentleman and a proud mom of two little boys. Looking back, I see how every twist in my path gave me courage, wisdom, and gratitude.
And now, having the privilege to live in this beautiful country, I feel called to give back in my own way. Through Share Her Story – Inspiring Women in Switzerland, I want to capture real voices and real journeys, just like the stories that once inspired me. My hope is that somewhere, a woman listening will feel less alone, more hopeful, and more inspired to keep going.
